Volunteering with 4 Paws Pet Adoptions is an important part of the entire program. As a non-profit organization, we owe our existence and survival to volunteers. But! Volunteering with 4 Paws Pet Adoptions isn't just about socializing and petting animals. We need individuals who enjoy working with cats and are willing to help us do what needs to be done at the adoption center.
How do I get started?
There are many jobs available.
The first step in becoming a Volunteer is to decide what you want to do! Stop in or call during open hours and we can get you scheduled for a time to volunteer. Many of the volunteer opportunities share assignments so you can help as much as you want.
What Volunteer Opportunities are there at 4 Paws?
- There are a few ways you can volunteer. They include:
- Cleaning Assistant:
Aid in keeping the Adoption Center and animal areas clean, tidy and smelling nice.
Blankets and towels are used daily to provide animal comfort. We need people to collect, wash, dry and fold blankets and towels.
This position involves bathing and grooming the dogs so they look (and feel) their best.
- Community Relations:
Transports animals to off-site adoption events and to rescue groups. Assist with off-site events.
- Social Media:
Helping with social media exposure - Facebook community campaigns
- and more . . .
On top of these great opportunities, volunteers perform an invaluable service in the operation of this all-volunteer organization. When volunteers socialize and train future pets, they are able to provide critical feedback that helps us match our adoptable pets with families who will give them loving homes. With your help the animals learn to adapt and bond to people in a positive way making their chances of being adopted even higher!
If you would like to volunteer, please come to the Adoption Center during our regular hours.
Thank you for your willingness to serve these animals.
